Dr. Giardino and Johnson would like to personally welcome you to our office and web site. We have chosen the specialty of periodontics because we know the value it is to you and actually love what we do and are good at it. We know that you and your general dentist have a choice when choosing your specialty care and are sure you will not be disappointed with the choice! Dr. Anthony Giardino
Dr. Dwight L. Johnson

Dr. Giardino graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1983. He practiced general dentistry while in the Air Force for five years. He obtained his specialty certificate in Periodontics and a Masters degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio and Wilford Hall USAF medical center in 1991. While in San Antonio his research focused on the early stages of developing a vaccine against periodontal disease. He became a Board Certified Diplomat of Periodontics in 1993. Dr. Giardino started South Hill Periodontics in 1994 and Post Falls Periodontics in 2008. He is involved in numerous professional organizations and served as president of the Spokane District dental society in 1999-2000. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Western Society of Periodontology. Dr. Giardino and his wife Dani have five active children and together they enjoy the many outdoor opportunities of the Inland Northwest.

Dr. Johnson graduated Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1999. He spent three years as a general dentist in the U.S. Air Force, which included a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program from 1999-2000. He earned a specialty certificate in Periodontics from Wilford Hall Medical Center and a Masters degree in Oral Biology from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2005. As a Board Certified Periodontist, Dr. Johnson enjoyed both teaching and practicing clinical periodontics for three years while stationed at Langley AFB in Virginia. He has won regional and national awards for his research using biological materials for periodontal regeneration. Dr. Johnson and his wife Melanie have six wonderful boys and are excited to live in the beautiful Spokane area. They love the outdoors and look forward to being an active part of the community.
